Alberto Taurozzi
Biography
Alberto Taurozzi is a molecular and cellular biologist with a background in medical research. He graduated from The University of Manchester with a 1st class BSc in Cell Biology before working in biomedical industry. Alberto then went on to study for a PhD in Biology at the University of York funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research. He is currently the lab manager for the Palaeoprotomics team and postdoc in the Collins group.
Research
As well as managing the laboratory, training staff and hosting visiting researchers, Alberto is actively involved in many of the projects the Collins group are currently investigating. In particular, Alberto has a penchant for method development and optimisation with the aim of maximising data acquisition whilst minimising sample requirements.
